Where is it in the world today and how is it similar to COVID-19? Rotarians Mike Crosby and Marsha Brown will share on Zoom their personal story of providing polio vaccine to young children in India a little over a year ago. They will also highlight polio, how it is transmitted and what’s being done to stop it – forever. Up to the minute numbers will also be shared. |

Sep 30, 2021 12:00 PM
The El Dorado County Amateur Radio Club has been supplying radio communications support for small- and large-animal Rescue efforts being conducted by the South County Large Animal Rescue Group (http://www.sclar.org/) and El Dorado County Animal Services. Many of their Volunteers are also Members of the Club's Neighborhood Radio Watch program: https://www.facebook.com/groups/NeighborhoodRadioWatch
During the Caldor Fire evacuations, many area residents had to flee their homes without having time to round up their pets and livestock. The SCLAR desperately love their animal companions, and have been conducting regular animal rescue and welfare checks to assist friends and neighbors during this difficult time for our community.
