 Last week, many members volunteered for one or more time slots to sell and serve wine and beer and snacks to attendees at the El Dorado County Fair. I don't have financial details, but sales, especially of beer were brisk! The main items on sale were wines from Crystal Basin Cellars: a Red Blend and a Chardonnay; and from Boring Rose Brewing, a Kolsch (Clarksville Kolsch -- similar to a lager) and a Hazy IPA (Lost Horizon Hazy). Club members and friends of Rotary had a great time working together to make this fund-raiser a success. We have a two part program. The main program features a presentation by Sierra Wildlife Rescue, including some of their rescued wildlife. The last part of the program will be a short piece by President Don on his year as your president, concluding with the passing of The Bell.
She also works full time as a wildlife biologist for Aspen Environmental Group. Elliot has worked as a consulting wildlife biologist for over nine years. She deals with common and special status species throughout California.
