Mike Dugan announced that the next meeting will be at the Shingle Springs Community Center because the club was not available. Lunch with assorted sandwiches from Togos plus water and soft drinks will be served. Lunch will only be $20 as opposed to the $30 we spend at the club.
Dan Gott announced that current dues bills are out and that installments are OK.
Denise Leach announced that the ice cream Social at the Observatory honoring Japanese exchange students went well. Cameron Park, Placerville, Pollack Pines, El Dorado Hills and even Palm Desert Rotary Clubs were represented. Special thanks are due Stuart Warner, Denise Leach, Laurie Edwards and Janet Yarbrough for their volunteer work at the event!
Cathy Dugan announced that this month's 5th Thursday will be at The Break Room Restaurant by the Shingle Springs Post Office, from 5- 7:00 pm. The Break Room has a new full-service bar, a private meeting room and an outside patio. They also have great food!
Cathy also announced support for one of our servers, Bob Bahrs who is the JV Football coach at El Dorado HS. They will be playing on Friday, August 23rd at 5:30 pm at Ponderosa HS. They will be wearing black: let's go and support his team!
Adam Marshall asked for volunteers for this year's Vet Standdown at the EL County Fair Grounds on Sept 13-14, 2024. This event provides dental and health care on site as well as a variety of critical services for veterans.
