Cameron Park Rotary's once-a-year luncheon for the Rotary Foundation will be emceed by Rotarian and former Club Treasurer Don Fuller, who promises a wide assortment of entertainment, games, an auction and surprises within surprises. The agenda, says Don, includes (perhaps) a short film, and a skit performed by "budding young actors" in our club. Additionally, there will be a game that tests club members' knowledge and competitive spirit. In announcing a "new tradition," Don says there will be the presentation and auction of a sculpture commissioned for the Cameron Park Club. The surprise auctioneer, moreover, may have even a bigger surprise "if he or she does well." Don will update Club members and guests on the status of Club giving as well as providing current information on how Rotary International is positively affecting the World. In addition, Special Guests Arch Klump, Father of the Rotary Foundation, and Rotary Founder Paul Harris will reminisce with Don and the Club about the early days of The Foundation. As Arch said: “We are Brightening the Future!” It is a Meeting not to be missed. See You at the Cameron Park Country Club at noon! The Rotary Foundation transforms gifts into projects that change lives both close to home and around the world. As the charitable arm of Rotary, The Foundation taps into a global network of Rotarians who invest their time, money, and expertise into priorities, such as eradicating polio and promoting peace. Foundation grants empower Rotarians to approach challenges such as poverty, illiteracy, and malnutrition with sustainable solutions that leave a lasting impact. |
