Next Week, Dec-19-2019:  Suzy O'Neal & Rob Ferguson-- Market Update
Suzy and Rob will give us an update on the state of the market.
Last Week, Dec-12-2019:  Ingrid Tung Honored for Book Exchange Project
This meeting featured a celebration of the Book Exchange project organized by Ingrid Tung.  Members of the club pitched in by collecting books and donating money to buy used books for K-5 students at Buckeye Elementary School.  More than 600 books were collected or purchased by our club and students from the school were encouraged to bring books in that they could exchange.  The students were joyful as they received their "new" books.  At our meeting, a slide show was showing above the stage with many pictures of the happy activities at the book exchange.  To indicate the club's appreciation for Ingrid's initiative, organizational skill, and hard work, Bill Hughes presented Ingrid with the pin and certificate in honor of her Paul Harris Fellow award.  We all congratulate Ingrid on her achievement!
Christmas Entertainment from Ponderosa High
Dave Sargent honored Jolynne Alger for taking over as choir director for Ponderosa High School in mid-year and providing us with Christmas Carols for entertainment at our Rotary Christmas Party on December 5th.  Also, she brought her two daughters, Tori and Sadie, along to provide us with more entertainment during the Dec. 12 meeting.  They sang us popular Christmas songs from around the world, including: "Holly Jolly Christmas," "Feliz Navidad," "Mary Did You Know?" and
"Mele Kalikimaka."  The Christmas songs were followed by excellent covers of some great pop songs from various eras, including:  "Tonight you Belong to Me (Patience and Prudence)," "Be My Baby (Ronettes)," "Folsom Prison Blues (Johnny Cash),"  and "No Tengo Dinero (Juan Gabriel)."  A rousing ovation was given to these talented young ladies and their mother.
