Anne Eckert led induction ceremonies for new members. Andre Pichly received his Blue Badge indicating full membership in the club. Congratulations, Andre! JoEllen Brooks was inducted into club membership with her Red Badge. JoEllen recently moved to Cameron Park, is a local realtor, has experience with non-profits, and is very eager to give back to the community through service. New active Family Plan member Cheryl Matossian was inducted into club membership with her Red Badge, and her husband Sarkis Matossian will be a new honorary Family Plan member. Cheryl has had a varied career as a gymnastics coach, a family practice physician and currently practices functional and sports medicine in Folsom. Cheryl is passionate about helping the elderly. Dr. Christopher Morris is the current Dean of Career Education at Folsom Lake College where provides leadership to eight different career pathways offering over 20 degrees and certificates. Prior to joining Los Rios, Dr. Morris was the K12 Pathways Coordinator for the Peralta Community College District where he supported dual enrollment and early college credit opportunities for all the east-Bay K12 districts and charter schools.
Kathleen Dodge was made the first (and to date, only) Executive Director of the El Dorado Lake Tahoe Film & Media Office, operating under the management of the County Chamber of Commerce. In the 30-plus years since Kathleen launched the Film Commission, she has brought more than 700 projects to the community with an economic impact of over $50 million dollars and a return on investment of nearly 2000% to El Dorado County.Kathleen delivered a lively presentation without the aid of PowerPoint. She passed out brochures, a map and a magazine article to each attendee. She then asked trivia questions about film projects in El Dorado County. The fun thing was, even if you got the answer wrong, she handed out a prize to reward participation. The .png)
