At our March 12 meeting, we will welcome students from Ponderosa High School who will compete in the Rotary Club of Cameron Park Speech Contest- always a crowd favorite. We will also recognize an outstanding student from Camerado Springs Middle School as our Student of the Quarter. It promises to be an uplifting meeting as we celebrate the achievements and potential of youth in our community.
Thanks to all who had organized and participated in the Shingle Springs-Cameron Park Networking Mixer from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Cameron Park CSD. We had a good turnout and guests enjoyed networking, appetizers, a no-host bar, and raffle prizes!
Ponderosa Little League has asked for our help in painting two small storage sheds at Rasmussen Park. Our club will provide both the paint and the volunteer labor (4-5 members). If you are available to lend a hand on Sunday, March 22, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM - please contact Gary Clarke by email for additional details. This will be a great opportunity to roll up our sleeves and support youth sports in our community.
Our club, in partnership with other local Rotary clubs, Sheriff Jeff Leikauf, and Wally’s Pizza Bar, is proud to co-sponsor the highly successful Third Annual Ethics and Leadership Conference for high school students.
A friendly reminder for those who signed up to volunteer for Session 1- it is tomorrow from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM at Bayside Church, 800 White Rock Road, El Dorado Hills.
Volunteers are still needed for Session 2: March 16 | 8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. 📍 Green Valley Church, 3500 Missouri Flat Road, Placerville. If you can volunteer—or know a business or community leader who would be a great mentor—please feel free to share this opportunity.
