The Role of Laughter in Communication

Jim Pelley is Director of Laughter Works Seminars. A professional speaker for the past 34 years he has taught people how to put more humor and creativity in their lives to become more creative, more productive, and less stressed!  
 
Jim has left them laughing at more than 2,963 organizations worldwide, including: Intel, American Express, Pepsi, Chevron, 
Walt Disney Company, Motorola, Ritz Carlton Hotels, … not to mention the Casket and Funeral Supply Association of America.  

Prior to staring Laughter Works Jim was a contributing writer for the original Saturday Night Live Show, and while at California State University, Sacramento; he developed a Graduate Level course entitled “The Role of Humor in Communication.” 

Jim was a Founding Organizer of Folsom Lake Bank, started in 2007 and sold in 2017 to Central Valley Community Bank.

Jim has served as the Chairman of Board for the Folsom Chamber of Commerce and has also served on the Board of Directors for the Folsom Economic Development Corporation, Folsom Lake College Foundation and the Dignity Health Foundation.

Within Rotary, Jim is a charter member for the Rotary Club of Historic Folsom, he has served in various roles including the 1st male Club President. Jim has been a featured speaker at numerous District Conferences, The Rotary Large Club Conference, and PETS. In 34 years, Jim estimates he has presented at nearly 200 Rotary Clubs worldwide.
