El Dorado Arts Council, the Community Observatory and local astronomy buffs and photographers are having an exciting sky, space and planet photography exhibit at the Fausel House Gallery, 772 Pacific Street, in Placerville, from May 25 through August 12. It is open from noon - 5 PM on Monday -Friday, and 11 AM - 4 PM on weekends. The public opening reception, with local wine and appetizers, is May 31 from 6-8 PM. On July 12 from 6-8 PM, local astronomy photographer and aerospace engineer Teri Smoot will give a presentation about her featured photography.
