Anne Eckert (left) and her committee did another outstanding job hosting the 2nd annual Fireside Chat and social at Don and Linda Fuller's home Monday evening. Thank you Anne and George for also bringing the delicious appetizers. Area 6 Governor Kurt Raffetto spoke briefly about the impact of Rotary internationally and members Anne, Dave Sargent (below), President Cathy Dugan, Adam Marshall (right), and Joe Ryan spoke from the heart describing the "why" of Rotary. The individual talks were very heartfelt; Adam's comment about Greg Woods, "we do
not eat alone", and Dave's about Steve Long's tearful comment about a third-grader's joy at having her very first book said more about the "why" of Rotary Club of Cameron Park than almost anything else. We have remarkable members who exemplify the Rotary motto, "service above self" in our community, region and internationally!
