We are proud to recognize Marissa Hardy, 27, as one of this year’s recipients of the Darol Rasmussen Foundation Grant. The award provides $2,000 over two years to support her continued education.
Marissa is graduating from Folsom Lake College tomorrow with an impressive 3.5 grade point average and plans to transfer to CSU Sacramento to pursue a career in psychiatry. Alongside her academic achievements, she also manages a social rehabilitation facility – demonstrating a remarkable commitment to service and leadership.
Her life has been a testimony to what overcoming the odds mean. Reflecting her path, Marissa shared, “I wouldn’t change any of the hardships I’ve experienced because they led me to my purpose - to serve a community of people and show them that healing, growth and prosperity are possible.”
